A method for the titration of antistreptolysin O (ASLO) assumed to be more rapid than the methods applied thus far is described. Correlation between the two reactions were established by the authors in 2 137 sera.- (2 fig., 3tab.)

A platelet radioactive antiimmunoglobulin test (PRAT) has recently been introduced. A detailed analysis of the influence of varying test conditions (i.e. efficiency of iodination of anti-IgG, cell number, degree of sensitization of platelets, times and temperatures of incubation, frequency of washings) on the results of this technique is presented. A standard procedure based on these findings is outlined. It is shown that the PRAT is two to four times more sensitive than platelet complement fixation for the detection of HLA antibodies. -(4 tab., 5 fig., 11 ref.) (Be)

C3b receptors are present in both white and red pulp and C3d receptors are restricted to white pulp. - The use of these indicator systems for demonstrating Fc and complement receptors in malignant lymphomas is suggested. - (11 fig., 2 tab., 20 ref.) H.D. Brede (Frankfurt/Main)
