Author Jerry Bridges is Vice President for Corporate Affairs of The Navigators. In this position he is responsible for the administration of legal and governmental affairs for the U.S. Navigator corporation. From 1969 through 1979, Jerry served as treasurer of The Navigators. He grew up in Tyler, Texas, and received Christ as a teenager through the influence of his local church. He attended the University of Oklahoma under the Navy ROTC scholarship program. He received a bachelor's degree in general engineering in 1951 and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he first came in contact with The Navigators during the first few months of his service.
