Lyme Regis is a town in Dorset in the southwest of England. Dorset is a special place in England because it is never very cold. In winter it is rainy and often quite windy, but it is almost never below zero. Spring, summer and autumn can be very nice: it doesn't rain very often and it is sunny most of the time. There are even some palm trees in nearby Devon! Martha likes Lyme Regis because it is a beautiful place at the seaside. Young people have many things to do there: in summer, they can go swimming, surfing or even diving, and in winter they can play sports in clubs. The town is not very big, but it has got a special atmosphere. It is a historic place with some monuments from Roman times. It is also famous because some authors write about it in their novels, and there are also films about it. Lyme Regis is always full of tourists from England and abroad. Martha loves spending her holidays there but she doesn't relax all the time. In summer, when there are many visitors, she works as a waitress in a seaside restaurant.
