John Meade Falkner was born in England in 1858. His father worked for the church. Falkner was a teacher first and then went to Europe. When he came back to England, he worked in different jobs. He was always interested in writing and books. Falkner wrote three books: The Lost Stradivarius (1895), Moonfleet (1898) and The Nebuly Coat (1903). Moonfleet is his most famous book. Young people and older people love this exciting story.
