Look Sharp - Booklet B [antikvár]

This booklet is part of the LOOK SHARP project of International Language School, Hungary (ILS). Our aim is to provide for the various needs of students of English, French, Germán, Hungárián, Italian, Russian and Spanish by offering them objective tests which enhance the efficiency of standard series of textbooks in a wide rangé of skills (grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, function etc.) and subjects (General Knowledge, Science, History, Geography, Literature, Fine Arts, various fields of engineering, humán relations, management...), and even personality or I.Q. tests. All the LOOK SHARP tests are classified according to language, skill or subjuct and level. The first character of the Test Nr. indicates the language (E for English, F for French, D for Germán, H for Hungárián, S for Spanish etc.). The second character indicates the level. In tests written for standard textbooks this is a number between 0 and 9 and shows the absolute level of testing which may coincide with the entrance level of a particular term or semester. In test booklets on specific subjects and in test companions to various books, however, the second character is a letter (A, B, C etc.) and only refers to the order of completion of these booklets. The third character of every Test Nr. denotes the skill or subject on which that particular test concentrates. (G for grammar, F for function, V for vocabulary, R for reading comprehension, S for reading speed, M for mixed tests etc.) We encourage everybody to try to do the testing with the help of CATS (Computer Aided Testing System), developed at LOGOS Language School, Hungary). This sophisticated educational software offers step by step feedback to the student by teliing him whether or not his answer was correct, displays the correct answer, calculates the score and reading speed, measures the time and gives a printed certificate of achievement. Thus the horror of traditional exams and testing periods is transformed into the joy of achievement and of new discoveries. Once you have tried these tests, you will run the risk of becoming a LOOK SHARP addict!
