Preface I bis book contains lectures of the seminar organized within the frame of Tempus Jep (No. 9240) Specializalion in Soil Science and Land Use Teaching. The seminar has focused interactions between soils and agricultural landuse practises. The first papers introduce the soillanduse relationships , the second part of the book deals with the application of computer programs connecting to the land use. We hope that this book will help to update the curricula at the Hungárián Agricultural Universities.
