Introduction
Since my youth, I have been a person of prayer. After receiving the baptism of the Holy Sphit, my prayer life completely changed as the Holy Spurit and my newfound loiowledge and appreciation of the Word of God enabled me to be more effective.
In the early 1980s, the Lord began to call many Christians into a deeper and more serious realm of prayer. As anointed ministers began to teach the message of intercession, a wave of uiterest swept across the land. With this interest, as is often the case with any move of God, many sincere people zealously attempted to do the will of God with little or no knowledge and this resulted in a great deal of confusion and controversy.
This book is intended to be used as a guide for serious intercessors and for anyone who needs to learn the scriptural foundation for intercessory prayer. It is the result of years of study and of many hours spent teaching seminars on the subject.
My studies have been based on the Word of God but include the teachings of a number of anointed ministers. I am particularly indebted to Bobbie Jean Merck, the late Wilfred H. Wright, Gertrude Wright, and Jeanne Wilkerson. Much of my foundational teaching on intercession came from the ministries of Bobbie Jean Merck and the Wrights. I was especially blessed to have had a.personal relationship with Jeanne Wilkerson, whose advice and teaching enabled me to
