PREFACE
U NTIL comparatively recently the only large-scale application of induction heating was in the melting of metals. In the past ten years, however, the method has found many industrial applications, including hardening of steel, brazing, soldering, forging, annealing, normahzing, stress-relieving, paint-drying, etc., etc. Much of the development work was done in America, but British firms are now able to supply equipment also. This small book describes the uses and possibilities of induction heating which has already shown itself to be of great value in many industries.
