In its appearenee (outer form) it reminds us of the Future in the Past, the only difference is, that it is always the predicate of a chief sentence, while-as you remember I presume-the Future in the Past, owing to its ovm cxistence, can't but be in the subordinate clause. Harry: - Would it not be much easier to learn something quite new? This is what I most dislike when the very same thing has other meaning in the chief as in the subordinate sentence. It is so confusing! Ronald: - It is just like you, Harry, being on the football ground and in the classroom. What a great difference! I guess what you are afraid of again, but you ought to learn the difference between a chief and a subordinate sentence at last!
