FUTURE ISSUES
Following the editorial policy established for recent issues of the Bulletin on
Narcotics, the Division of Narcotic Drugs will continue to focus forthcoming issues
of the Bulletin on particular subjects of general interest. The list for future issues has
been revised and up-dated to reflect recent developments in drug abuse control at the
international level and to support the objectives of key forthcoming international
conferences and meetings scheduled to deal with the problems of drug abuse and drug
trafficking. In view of the foregoing, the following topics have been identified for
future issues.
Extent of drug abuse and assessment methodologies in relation to the planning
of drug abuse control programmes
Regional and inter-regional responses to the drug abuse phenomenon
Developments relating to control of psychotropic substances
Strategies to strengthen the capacity of law enforcement authorities to combat
drug trafficking
