Professional biographical store István Bérezi
István Bérezi was bom in Békés, Hungary. He graduated in 1962 in Budapest as Doctor of veterinary medicine, and was than research fellow in the Veterinary medical Research Listi-tute of the Hungarian Academy os Cienciences (1962-67). He moved to Montreal as post-doctoral fellow of Selye (1967-68). Ontained PhD in immunology (1972) and since 1991 he is Professor of the Department of immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba, Winnipeng, Canada. His main research field is the cormections between hormonal regulation and immune regulation. He published 191 papers and book chapters, 8 books; 75 abstracts. Many of his discoveries (antibodies against endotoxins, tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, dmg-antibody conjugates, bromocryptine, glandular Kallikrein) gained clinical applications.

Lóránd Bertók honorary professor, doctor of medical sciences (MTA - 1984), scientific advisor of the „Frédéric Johot Curie" National Research Institute for Radiobiology and Radiohygiene, Budapest, Hungary.
Worked together with Hans Selye in 1965, in Montreal. His main reasearch focuses ont he role of endotoxines and bite acids in natural resistance. Author of several books, chapters, and 245 studies. Owner of 6 announced patent. Award of Hungarian
