Closed System of the Sicilian Defence in the series Way of Openings [antikvár]

PREFACE Gentle Reader, I take the opportunity to explain my thoughts in connection with this book. So much the more because you have a first volume of a series launched, written and redacted by me in hand. The series "Way of Openings" provides a comprehensive view of openings to ehess players who want to get a complete survey of a given system from only one book. For that purpose a numberless literature is not needed. If the given work is good, one can learn the opening and the middlegame from this one book alsó as you in our case. The Closed System of the Sicilian Defence is relatively frequent. Black cannot avoid it if he replies ... c5 after 1. e4. The followers of the Closed Sicilian are numerous. I mention only Spassky, the legendary ex-World Champion who plays it in our days too. The reader naturally meets more dozen world greatnesses in the analyses and games. I have chosen the games in such a way that the reader shall get a comprehensive view about the opening. Since the opening extends nowadays alredy as far as 20-30 moves, it unavoidably passes into the middlegame which can be easily learned similary. As to the diagrams my principal point of view was to promote the combining skill and to delight the eyes. Gentle Reader, I wish you to turn the leaves of this book with success.
