We were established in 2005 with the aim of pro-viding export credit insur-ance and financing in com-pliance with the national strategic interests of Serbi-an Government. Since then AOFI, as a relatively young institution, has grown to be an important determinant of Serbian economy growth and internationalization of its companies. As an effec-tive and valued partner, AOFI has been increasing Serbian export competitive-ness in world markets by providing its clients a wide rangé of export credit insur-ance and financing prod-ucts and services.By carrying out its prima-ry objective, despite the dif-ficult economic situation in the country and the world during the past decade, in the period of markét uncer-tainty, increased financial risk and low economic ac-tivity, AOFI contributed to the export growth. Domes-tic companies have increas-ingly become aware of the importance and the value of insurance in covering com-mercial and political risks stemming from the current global financial crisis and markét volatility.By strengthening cooper-ation with other ECAs and other international institu-tions throughout selfless as-sistance of Berne Union itself, but alsó its members, AOFI succeeds in encourag-ing the exchange of experi-ences and promoting best practices in export credit activities.The special emphasis has been placed on providing value-added services in as-sisting our clients to achieve business objectives, such as providingspecialized export advice, export education as well as promotion of the competitive branches of Serbian industry.The financial results and business performance, com-plementary to the services offered on financial markets, proves that AOFI is able to deliver these results thanks to well-coordinated work of all employees and despite the competition in the markét.
